Maura Kilcoyne — Artist, Educator, Wellbeing Pioneer
Combining Art & Education for a More Mindful Life
Maura Kilcoyne is an artist with a lifelong passion for beauty, balance, and the healing power of creativity. Her work is deeply rooted in her personal story and professional journey—a unique blend of visual art, education, and emotional wellbeing.
A true pioneer in the field of workplace wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), Maura has over 25 years of experience helping individuals and organizations thrive. With a background spanning business, communication training, teaching, and social work, her focus has always been on human growth and resilience. Today, she works closely with private clients as a life coach, offering tailored wellbeing solutions.
But long before all that, Maura was a child in Killadoon, on Ireland’s wild west coast—just outside Louisburgh, gazing out at Clare Island, Inishturk, and Inishbofin. Framed by Croagh Patrick and Mweelrea, her world was one of shifting skies, deep Atlantic hues, and rolling mountains. No two days ever looked the same—and that's where her eye for colour and form began.
“I never saw the same colours on any one day. They were always changing, always more beautiful.”
Painting became her sanctuary—especially in the hectic years of raising a family and running a business. Now, Maura has returned full-time to the canvas, channeling her lifetime of experience into each piece.
Her art, like her life’s work, is about reflection, emotional clarity, and the quiet power of beauty. Every brushstroke is a moment of stillness—an invitation to reconnect with the world around you.
As she puts it:
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
And for Maura, beauty is also in the act of seeing.
